Meet the Woman Behind
The 5 o’clock Club
I’m a polish psychologist, psychosexual therapist and couples therapist, with a particular interest in relationships, connection and what brings two people together.
I created The 5 o’clock Club to offer a more personal and considered approach to matchmaking for people 50+ combining psychological insight, compatibility testing and meaningful one-to-one conversations.
Rather than relying on profiles or algorithms, I take the time to understand each person before making an introduction.
My Story
I have spent much of my professional life working with people, listening to their stories and seeing how much our relationships can shape the way we experience life.
Over the years, both through my professional work and my own personal experience, I have come to believe that meeting the right person is rarely about simply having more opportunities to date. It is about being understood and finding someone whose values, personality, lifestyle and way of seeing life genuinely fit with your own.
I also began to notice how difficult this can become later in life. Existing social circles can become smaller, meeting new people can take more effort, and online dating can sometimes feel impersonal, overwhelming or simply not suited to what people are really looking for.
So I decided to create something different.
The 5 o’clock Club was born from the belief that meaningful introductions deserve time, thought and a human touch.
I wanted to understand whether other people felt the same way, so I spoke to people over 50 about their experiences of meeting someone new. The responses reinforced something I had already seen through my own work: people weren't necessarily looking for more opportunities to date. They wanted to meet someone genuinely compatible, outside the circles they already knew, and to feel confident that the person they were meeting had been carefully considered.
For many, discretion, safety and a personal approach mattered just as much as compatibility.
That confirmed something I already felt strongly: sometimes, the answer isn't more choice. It's better choice, thoughtfully made.
A PERSONAL CLUB, RUN BY ME
The 5 o'clock Club is intentionally small and personal. I run the Club myself, and every part of the service has been created and developed by me.
From the first conversation to the search, the matching process and the introduction itself, I remain personally involved. There is no large team passing you from one person to another, and no algorithm deciding who you should meet.
I know the people I introduce, I take the time to understand them, and I make each introduction personally and thoughtfully.
This is not something I wanted to build as a high-volume matchmaking agency. I wanted to create a private club where people feel known, listened to and genuinely cared for.
For me, matchmaking is personal. I care deeply about the people who trust me with such an important part of their lives, and I want that to be felt throughout their experience with the Club.
